When I woke up in the morning I felt excited about doing the Grouse Grind. At the same time I also dreaded it because I was still sick. As I was walking to school, I thought about who I would be walking with and how long it would take. Last year it took me about an hour and fifteen minutes to complete. When I walked into the class room there were a few of my classmates there already. I gazed at the board and saw who I would be riding with. When we arrived at the mountain, I frantically looked for my friends. During the first quarter my legs felt different, they were sore! At the half way point they started to feel normal again. I wondered what changed and why. During the hike I took in the scenery. It was nice when the sun was coming through the tress. After making it to the top of the mountain I felt very accomplished and hungry. My friends and I went to the cafe. We then walked around and looked at what was there. When we got in to the gondola, I gazed down at where we hiked and what we went through. I felt good when I looked at the mountain again from the bottom. The car ride back felt awsome.
